On International Walk to School Day, parents and caregivers both teach and model safe pedestrian behavior. On October 5th, 2011, Blythe Academy hosted a Walk this Way celebration for students, parents, community leaders and other special guests such as Buddy the Bear from The Children's Hospital of Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center. Fox Carolina, WYFF 4 and The Greenville News were there too! Gaye Sprague from Greenville City Council and Glenda Morrison-Fair from Greenville County School Board also joined in on the fun!
