Safe Kids Fest
This year, Safe Kids Upstate will host a Safe Kids Fest and 15th Birthday Party Celebration at University Center (formerly McAlister Square) on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  This free event is open to the public and will have fun, interactive, educational exhibits where children (3-10) and their parents can participate and learn more about preventable injuries.

Safe Kids Upstate anticipates that well over 1,000 children throughout the Upstate will visit the Fest this year with their parents and grandparents to learn about safety and injury prevention.  As they visit over 15 interactive exhibits, each child receives important safety information and takes home safety-related giveaways.

This event will involve over 90 community partners and over 100 volunteers.  During this event, children will have the opportunity to participate in a Mascot parade, have their photo taken with Buddy the Bear (the Children's Hospital of the Greenville Hospital System's mascot), enter a drawing for a free bicycle and helmet, enjoy Buddy the Bear's Birthday Cake and a whole lot more - all for free!

Mark your calendar now for Saturday, April 24, 2010.  Join your friends at University Center (formerly McAlister Square) from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm!
