Safe Kids Upstate Recognized as Lead Organization of the Year
Safe Kids Upstate Coalition, led Greenville Hospital System Children’s Hospital,
was recognized as “Lead Organization of the Year” by Safe Kids Worldwide in Washington
DC on October 19, 2007.
Greenville Hospital Children’s Hospital was chosen from the 314 state and local
Safe Kids coalitions in the United States, which are responsible for facilitating
injury prevention efforts by local medical professionals, public safety agencies,
educators, auto dealerships, retailers, government agencies and other volunteers.

such dedicated company is a huge vote of confidence in our work here in Greenville"
says William F. Schmidt, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director, GHS Children’s Hospital
and Chairman, Department of Pediatrics.
